My Newest Fragrance Addiction: Kenzo World Intense

In the four years I've been blogging, I've written over 400 blog posts, filmed over 100 videos for YouTube, and shared 800 some odd pictures on Instagram. And in all that time, over all that content, I don't think I've ever been this compelled to write about a fragrance. Part of it is just the difficulty of trying to describe a product that's so highly personal and that can smell differently on different people, and part of it is that I just don't often find myself incredibly impressed by fragrances.

That being said, the fact that I needed to tell you guys about this perfume should tell you something. From my first whiff I knew that I had discovered a new favorite, and the countless compliments I receive every time I wear it solidifies the fact that it's just not my nose that understands. The Kenzo World Intense Eau de Parfum is like sprayable sexy magic in a bottle. It's an absolutely gorgeous, sophisticated yet flirtatious fragrance that I never knew I needed in my life.

Classic Holiday Glam at Bloomingdale's

There are a lot of things I love about the holidays - baking sugar cookies, seeing Christmas lights,  shopping ridiculous online sales (but really though...my poor wallet). In all seriousness, there's something inherently magical about the month of December. Warm, Cozy Fragrances for Fall

One of the things I undoubtedly love most about fall are its smells. Crisp leaves crunching beneath your feet, wood fires burning in the evening, pumpkin pie in the oven, hot cider brewing. Even just thinking about them now immediately transports me to a magically warm, cozy place.

Much like I swap out my sandals and dresses for sweaters and boots come autumn, I also like to switch out my fragrances for scents that capture the feeling of the season. Warm, spicy notes, woodsy undertones, and a little bit of sweetness immediately put me in a fall mindset.

As much as it may seem cliché to gift a bottle of perfume or cologne for a special occasion, it's still one of my favorite things to give and receive. Fragrances are beautiful, with bottles we display proudly on our vanities and dressers. They're expensive and luxurious. They become a little piece of our identities - a familiar scent that friends and lovers remember us by. Understandably, fragrance can also be a tricky thing to gift when someone hasn't requested something specific. Personal taste can vary incredibly from one person to another, and the last thing you want is to buy an $80 bottle of perfume for someone that you aren't sure they'll love. My personal solution? Opt for a gift set with a variety of fragrances to choose from. Not only do they offer variety, but they can be a great way to introduce someone to a specific brand and help them find a new favorite scent.

I have a bit of a splurge purchase to share with all of you. I picked up this set a few months back (at the same time as my Bite Beauty Luminous Crème Lipstick Duos, actually) as a belated Christmas present to myself. I don't know about you, but to me there's something especially exciting about discovering a new favorite fragrance. They aren't something that I purchase very often, with the coveted space on my dresser reserved only for a few signature scents that I'm head over heels in love with.
