As per the usual, it's time to round up the last of this month's subscription reviews with my Ipsy Glambag. This month's theme was "prep school" which has me nostalgic for my college days and all the hustle and bustle of an impending new semester. I certainly don't miss the stress of exams and essays, but the opportunity to try and learn and explore is something I don't think I fully appreciated way back when. So before I go off on a wistful tangent, lets get back to beauty. I think Ipsy always does a pretty great job of finding products that fit with their theme, as these beauty staples would all be perfect for getting in that back-to-school mindset. I love a good purple nail polish, and this muted lavender color will be perfect for the transition into fall. Its not quite as opaque as it claims to be, but you'll get good coverage with two coats. So far my nails are holding up well with no chips, so I have good feelings about the lasting power of this particular formula. It's kind of a funny coincidence that I decided to paint my nails the other day because after slamming my finger in the door to the garage I'm pretty sure I have a really nasty bruise under my nail that I now don't have to look at. So, here's to hoping I won't have to re-manicure for a while!

This is the second moisturizer from Eco Beauty that I've had the opportunity to try (the first being their daytime moisturizer that I also got in a Glambag). I found their day cream to be a little too greasy for my liking, but I don't want to write off their night cream before I try it. Since the cooler weather is approaching, and I already have a massive stockpile of half used moisturizer samples, I'm going to hold off on using this for a little while. However, I do appreciate that it's got a formula packed full of natural ingredients, and think it'll be worth checking out in the future.
This dual-action spray enhances the look of hair fullness with long-term thickness results. The formula contains a unique ingredient—maltodextrin, a natural sugar starch—which coats each strand of hair to promote a fuller appearance. Lemon and witch hazel extract dissolve excess oil and help extend time between washes. For longer term benefits, the spray contains ginger to support natural blood flow to the scalp and biotin to encourage natural, healthy hair growth.

Another brand I've become acquainted with thanks to Ipsy is this one. I really dig that Briogeo takes a more natural approach to hair care, and I absolutely love their packaging design. So far I've been really loving this blow dry spray, which adds immediate lift and lightness to hair without making it feel stiff or sticky. The scent is also really cheery and uplifting, thanks to the notes of lemon and ginger.

As much as I love myself a mini version of anything, the full sized packaging on these lipsticks is SO PRETTY it makes me kind of sad to see that the styling on the sample is completely different. Maybe it's trivial, but I guess I'm just a sucker for bamboo. Anyway, this is a really lovely lipstick formula-wise. It's got a very creamy texture and opaque finish and absolutely zero fragrance. If I was to buy a full-sized version I probably wouldn't go with the shade Desert Rose that was sampled. It's a very light, cool-toned pink that I think makes me look a little bit washed out. Apricot Swirl looks like it'd be much more up my alley.
This smooth, creamy pencil is an eyeliner that doubles as a lip pencil. It's multi-purpose design allows you to create a pop of color to line the eyes, fill in the lids, or add color to your wings. Or use it as a lip pencil to easily shape, line or fill in the lip.

This last product was a bit of a weird one for me. You don't often see products that double for lips and eyes, mostly because I think the color palettes for the two don't have a lot of overlap. This deep wine shade would definitely be something I'd use when I start busting out all of my fall, berry-toned lipsticks. However, I'm not so sure how I'd feel about the same color as an eyeliner. Part of me worries that something with such a strong red undertone will make my eyes look irritated. So far I've only swatched this product, so I don't have much of an opinion about it yet. I'll be sure to give you all an update if it ends up being amazing (or kind of terrible).
