Black Friday Preview

Black Friday is almost upon us, and while some may love the total insanity of shopping in stores, others of us may prefer to score a deal without ever having to leave our beds. As the week goes on more and more stores are releasing previews of the sales they're hosting, but for now I wanted to share a couple of exciting ones that have already begun!
Sales You Can Shop Now

The Body Shop
Black Friday sales are already going strong at The Body Shop. If you're looking for awesome bath, body, and skincare gifts to give, this is an awesome place to get a lot of bang for your buck. The Black Friday Tote bag is back again, this time with $139 worth of product that you can steal for only $35 with a purchase of $36 or more. Fortunately, the Body Shop is also making the math extra easy for you this year by giving you a number of ways to spend $36 and save even bigger.

First off, here's a quick rundown of what comes in the Black Friday tote: a 1.0 oz Drops of Youth Concentrate, a full-sized Shea Body Butter & Shower Cream, a Honeymania Soap bar, a full-sized Satsuma Body Polish, the Hemp Hand Protector, a mini Argan Body Scrub, a Mango Lip Butter, a full-sized Satsuma Shower Gel, and a cream colored Bath Lily. Last year I got one of these totes and divvied up everything inside to use as stocking stuffers and grab bag gifts, and still managed to keep a few little treats for myself. Fellow bloggers may also find these totes as a great source of products for future giveaways if that is something you like to do!

To get to the $36 price point, The Body Shop is offering two great ways to save this week. First, there's a huge selection of products available as part of a 3 for $36 sale. That takes the price of each product down to only $12, which can mean big time savings with some of their pricier skincare items. Here are some of my personal favorite picks! For keeping dry winter skin at bay I almost always have a tub of Body Shop Body Butter on hand. This Frosted Plum ($21 $12, as part of 3 for $36) version sounds like it would smell absolutely divine. I've heard great things about the Vitamin E Overnight Serum-In-Oil ($27 $12, as part of 3 for $36), which looks like it'd be the perfect product to revive and hydrate super dry skin. And of course, if you saw in my post last week about my affinity towards non traditional cleansers, it's probably no surprise that I'm itching to try this Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter ($16 $12, as part of 3 for $36).

You can also snag two adorable gift sets for only $18 a piece. Anyone who's been a long time follower of my blog will probably have heard me rave about the Coconut line (especially the body scrub), so the Coconut Festive Picks Gift Set ($26 $18) would be an obvious choice for me!

I'm also pretty sure that in addition to these savings Love Your Body members still get their usual discount, and can earn points on their Black Friday purchases to get coupons towards future purchases.

Kohl's
For the past few years, Kohl's has been on my list of go-to shopping locations for Black Friday. The crowds are crazy, but the deals are usually worth it, and it's the only time of year you can earn $15 Kohl's Cash instead of the usual $10 for every $50 you spend. This year, though, Kohl's is making their Black Friday promotions available online early, so you can totally rack up the savings from the comfort of your couch. In addition to the bumped up Kohl's Cash, you can also save an extra 15% off your purchase with the discount code AMAZING15. Kohl's has pretty much everything you could possibly want for gift giving, from kitchen appliances, to cozy PJs, to home decor, to toys and games. However, I personally am a huge fan of their jewelry and beauty departments. Let me share a few of my personal favorite picks!

If you follow me on instagram you may have seen my occasional post sharing my love for LC Lauren Conrad jewelry (like these super cute midi rings). This week you can score some adorable sparkles of your own at 35% off. These Runway Collection Front-Back Earrings ($18 $11.70) would add a little touch of glam to any holiday outfit. Or, for a more casual look, this Disc & Vertical Bar Multistrand Pendant Necklace ($18 $11.70) would be the perfect accent to a t-shirt and jeans. And then there is this Gold Tone Simulated Crystal Arrow Midi Ring Set ($14 $9.10), which I personally own and get SO many compliments on!

While you can't use your 15% off towards the Prestige Beauty brands that Kohl's now carries, you can, in fact, use whatever Kohl's cash you rack up towards them after November 30th. Real Techniques, however, is not considered a Prestige Brand (even the Bold Metals collection!) and is 20% off. The Real Techniques Core Collection ($18 $14.40) is a staple of many beauty bloggers and a perfect gift to give for both makeup newbs and junkies alike.

And of course, there's always a special place in my heart for something super adorable and winter-themed. As a tea drinker I can never have enough mugs, and I always enjoy busting out a few special ones around the holidays. This St. Nicholas Square North Pole Fox Mug ($19.99 $8) is SO cute, and would make a perfect gift paired up with some hot cocoa or a Christmas tea. Is it worth $20? Not in a million years, but for $8 (truly less with 15% off) I think it'd be a perfect little gift to give.

Sales You Can Shop Later

Sephora
Every year Sephora offers a slew of perfectly stocking stuffer sized $10 Beauty Steals. They usually range in value from $18 to $25 and sell out super quick. Temptalia has a great sneak peek post if you'd like to get a better idea of what this year's offerings will be and about how much they're worth. Personally I think I might pass up on these offers, mainly because I already have or have tried many of the products they're including, but I could definitely see how they would be appealing to people who didn't have a ridiculous makeup collection like myself.

ULTA
Ulta, on the other hand, is bringing some serious game to Black Friday this year. If I had limited time to choose between going to Ulta and going to Sephora this week, I think Ulta would win by a landslide. You can preview all of the Black Friday Beauty Busters here if you're interested, but I'll share a few standout highlights for you all.

If you want to give your cheeks some serious glow, the Becca Beach Tint Shimmer Soufflé ($27 $13.50) may be calling your name. This cream blush has a really light, whipped texture and imparts beautiful pigmentation and shimmer to your cheeks. And at 50% off it's pretty hard to pass up! A lot of us beauty bloggers went gaga when Real Techniques released their Bold Metals Collection. These brushes are absolutely stunning, but they unfortunately come with a hefty price tag. Fortunately you can snag this Bold Metals Essentials Clutch ($69 $34.50) which comes with three brushes from the collection (a total of an $80 value) at a crazy discount this Friday. Eyeshadow lovers may be drawn to the super sleek Pur Cosmetics Starry Eyed Eyeshadow Palette ($67 value for $15), which has a bunch of lovely wine-tone shades that are perfect for the fall and winter. And last, you can snag the gorgeous Benefit Majorette Cream-to-Powder Blush ($28 $10) for less than half price! As someone who can never have enough blush, this product has been on my to-try list for ages.

Do you brave the stores on Black Friday? What sales are you most excited about?
