Whether you're celebrating with your gal pals, or having a romantic evening with your significant other, if you're looking for some inspiration for your next night out, you've come to the right place! I've teamed up with some fabulous other bloggers to each bring you our take on a Valentine's Day makeup look. This year I'm pretty sure my husband and I will celebrate as per the usual by getting some kind of fancy dinner followed by binge watching Madmen at home in our sweats. Our romance has always been of the low-key, laid back variety, and I think that's what I wanted to pay homage to in this look. I reached for some of my favorite, long-wearing and effortless products to create a look that strikes the perfect balance between everyday casual and special occasion glam.
But first, a little disclaimer. With it being Valentine's Day and my feeling the need to put the "special" in special occasion, I let myself go ham with this tutorial. Not ham in the glitter, false lashes, and highlight you can see from outer space kind of way (although sometimes I am all about that), but in the "let me reach for all of my super expensive makeup" kind of way. That being said, you DEFINITELY don't have to drop almost $500 to recreate this look. So many of these products are easily dupe-able from the drugstore, or classic enough that you may already have something similar on hand. You also totally don't have to be as extra as me and use two concealers or two setting sprays. Your girl just wanted to pull out all the stops, but it is so not necessary if you want to keep things a little simpler. Either way, I'll be sure to link some affordable alternatives for you guys along with the actual products themselves!
