Of course, I had to film an unboxing video to show you guys my first impressions of everything I got. And now that I've had a few days to think it over, I've finally made my decisions about what I'm purchasing and what I'm sending back. Curious to see what made the cut? Keep reading to find out!
This shirt just had Lauren written all over it. Plaid is so my jam, and the colors in this blouse flatter my complexion really well. I also love that, while the style is casual, the sheer fabric gives it a dressier vibe. The only downside is that I'll definitely need to layer it over a nude or black cami, as it's definitely a bit see-through in the wrong lighting.
Just Black Judy Scissor Cut Jean ($78) // RETURNED
This was definitely the most difficult piece for me to decide on. These jeans fit me like a glove. The skinny leg fit and the dark wash is totally on point, and I could totally see myself wearing them on the regular. Honestly, if I didn't have some budgetary constraints I would have totally kept them. But a girl's gotta pay her car insurance, and knowing that I already have a few pairs of pants very similar to these, I decided that sacrifices needed to be made. Alas, I did let Stitch Fix know when I was checking out that I would be open to getting pants like these again in a future fix (maybe when I have a little more free cash to spend).
Brixon Ivy Fierro Elbow Patch Crew Neck Sweater ($58) // BOUGHT
This sweater is so super cozy I couldn't bear to send it back. The fabric is incredibly cuddly and soft, and the fit is loose enough to be extra comfortable, but not so much as to make me look shapeless. It's a very basic, dress-up or dress-down piece that I think I'll get a lot of use out of in the coming months.
Octavia Fia Plaid Oblong Scarf ($28) // BOUGHT
One of the things I dropped serious hints about to my stylist was a scarf, and she totally knocked it out of the park. I LOVE this scarf! The colors are perfect - neutral with just a hint of color, and the style has that big blanket feel I can't get enough of without actually being overly heavy and warm. Plus I think it looks super cute with this sweater!
Gentle Souls Penny Zipper Strap Booty ($249) // RETURNED
I'm not going to lie, these are some of the most comfortable boots I've ever put on my feet. Even though they're undoubtedly pricey, you can tell you're paying for a pair of quality shoes. The leather is amazingly soft, the hardware is nice and durable, and the soles have extra cushioning and support. Honestly, if I was head-over-heels in love with the look of these booties I probably would have just said "shut up and take my money". However, there's something about the style of them that I'm just not crazy about. On my feet I felt they were a little too clunky and clownish. I'm actually not opposed to the color, which I think could be a fun addition to my wardrobe. I just think I'd prefer something a bit more streamlined and sleek.
Even though I didn't end up keeping everything from my fall fix, I definitely feel like this season was a totally success for me! I knew I was taking a bit of a gamble by requesting a pair of booties, and I think my stylist put forth a valiant effort trying to find a pair that I would enjoy. Did I miss not getting my 25% discount? Sure, but it wasn't worth it to keep such an expensive pair of shoes just to save on my fix as a whole. Still, I ended up with some great pieces that I think I'm going to wear a ton in the coming weeks.

ALSO, exciting news! Stitch Fix is now offering fixes for men! I've already got my boyfriend interested, and you can bet that when his first fix comes in we'll be sharing how his experience goes.
