October 2016 Favorites

Is it just me, or is 2016 passing by at an alarmingly fast rate? Even though fall is almost two months underway, I'm still very much in denial that it's not still summer. I need to wear gloves now? Like, what? Thanksgiving is three weeks away? I...I don't understand what is happening here.

In all seriousness, these past couple of months have been a whirlwind, albeit an exciting one. I've been working extra hard in the last month to keep to my consistent Sunday and Thursday YouTube schedule, and my channel is growing beyond my expectations. In mid-October I finally hit my 500 subscriber goal, and by the 31st I'd grown to over 700. I am SO appreciative of every single person that reads my posts and watches my videos. In case you haven't noticed, I am a giant nerd for all things beauty, and knowing there are people out there who find all of my random musings and tips and tricks helpful is kind of the best feeling. So THANK YOU for being here, and for sharing my passion with me. If we want to talk about favorites, you all are really at the top of my list.

I know, I know. I'm getting all mushy on you guys. I can't help myself from being a big ol' softie. But before I derail myself completely, let's get back to the subject at hand. There were a TON of products that I fell in love with in October (several of which will probably come as no surprise) and I can't wait to share them with you!

Eva NYC Freshen Up Dry Shampoo ($11.99) // This lightweight dry shampoo not only smells amazing and works great, but it's also a serious dupe for the Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo. If you're curious about all the goodies I tried from Eva NYC this past month, you should check out this post!

Kat Von D Beauty MetalMatte Eyeshadow Palette ($60) // My obsession with this palette is so real. The swatches seriously speak for themselves, so I highly recommend checking out my full review so you can fully appreciate the wondrous colorful glory that is this palette.

Too Faced Hangover Rx Primer ($32) // This hydrating primer makes your skin feel so smooth without leaving it sticky or greasy. Also, it smells like coconuts, which I can totally get behind.

L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation ($12.99) // This foundation is so good its making its second appearance in a monthly favorites post. My latest obsession is mixing in a drop of facial oil to it (like the one down below) before applying to my face.

Cover FX Custom Infusion Drops (Radiance) ($48) // I'm sure there are less crazy expensive facial oils out there on the market, but I'm not gonna lie, I've been digging this teeny sample all month long.

Jouer Lip & Cheek Tint in Amaryllis ($11) // For the ultimate I've-been-out-all-day-picking-apples-in-the-crisp-fall-air kind of flush.

IT Cosmetics All That Glitters Brush Set ($58) // This brush set is hella glamorous and has THE softest bristles I've felt in a long time. You can check out my review of the full set here!

Luxie Rose Gold Small Tapered Blending Brush ($10) // Its amazing how changing up your tools can totally help you slay your eyeshadow game. This brush is perfect for precision blending and I kind of want to use it every single day.

Luxie Rose Gold Tapered Highlighting Brush ($24) // This is one pricey highlighter brush, but its oh-so-pretty.

Revlon PhotoReady Eye Art ($8.99) // Loving the whole metallic and glitter eye trend this fall? This is an awesome budget-friendly way to get the look! Check out my full review of this duo here.

Ofra Long-Lasting Liquid Lipstick ($19.90) // I finally understand what all the fuss is about.

Smith & Cult Nail Lacquer in Dark Like Me ($18) // THE perfect vampy fall polish shade, hands down. Check out some of my other favorites for autumn here.

Elizabeth and James Nirvana Bourbon (Rollerball) ($25) // I give all the credit for this one to Kathleen Lights. You can read more about the fragrances I'm loving this fall here.
