Lorac Front of the Line Pro Liquid Eyeliner Review

*Cues choir of angels*

Friends...get your wallets/wish lists ready. I think we may have entered into Holy Grail territory.

When it comes to getting that coveted flick, I've tried my hand at a number of different eyeliners. Felt tipped pens, gel pots, shadows doubling as liners - you name it, I've probably given it a go. While there are definitely a lot of great options on the market, up until this point I didn't think anything could truly top Stila's Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner.

But oh how little I knew. Soon I would come across THE most fantastic eyeliner I've ever laid eyes on (or laid on my eyes for that matter). The Lorac Front of the Line Pro is just the easiest, most joy inducing cat-eye creator...it's making me seriously question whether or not I'll be able to go back to anything else!

At this point you may be wondering what the deal is. What makes this eyeliner so hype worthy? Basically, for me there are two big factors - formula and application. Formula wise you get a deep, black line that dries down to be totally smudge proof, is water resistant, and holds up well all day long without any flaking or fading. You know, basically all of your 5-star eyeliner qualifications.

What really impressed me, though, is the packaging and design. Unlike a lot of pen style eyeliners with felt nibs, this one has a brush tip that strikes the perfect balance of flexibility and precision. I've never had a nib glide so smoothly over the lid, or go so easily from a super fine point, to a thick line. The brush tip should also maintain its pointiness even after a lot of use, where some felt tips start to become dull and worn. Also, the sleek metallic packaging is totally gorgeous and definitely gives off a high-end feel.

The $23 price point falls right in with other prestige eyeliners. It's a little bit pricier than similar products from Stila or Kat Von D, but is definitely less expensive than Dior or Marc Jacobs. Basically, if money is a factor, here's my advice. If liquid eyeliner is the kind of thing you only wear once in a blue moon, it might not be worth it to shell out more than $20 for this kind of product. There are some great options at the drugstore (Maybelline and L'Oreal in particular have some good ones) that might serve your hard earned cash better. However, if you're rocking a cat eye on the regular, this eyeliner might just be a game changer. Also, since Lorac started being carried at Kohl's you can totally use your Kohl's cash to purchase this at a ridiculously low price. Need to buy new bedding? Why not get a free eyeliner as well?

If my raving rambles aren't evidence enough for you, here's a better look at this liner in action.

Really, I'm so glad that I decided to pick this up and give it a try. I have a feeling all of the other liners in my stash are going to be collecting dust for some time. While black is kind of a standard makeup collection staple, the Lorac Front of the Line Pro is also available in three other colors. I'm very much tempted to invest in the dark brown version. I think brown is such a more daytime friendly color than black, but I've never owned a brown liquid liner. We shall see!

In other news, you may have noticed a little change in the address bar of your web browser. Little Blushing Birdie has finally moved to its own domain! Thanks to a little technical glitch the site was down for the past couple of days which was...frustrating, to say the least. But I appreciate your patience and also your readership and can't wait to gush about more awesome beauty products with you!

Have you tried the Lorac Front of the Line Pro Liquid Eyeliner yet? What's your favorite eyeliner to use?
