Birchbox is a beauty subscription service that, for $10, will mail you a box of beauty and lifestyle samples each month. Subscribers complete a beauty profile to help tailor their samples to their own personal preferences and needs. Your monthly Birchbox could have everything from the latest eye cream, to dry shampoo, to tea bags, to mascara. For the price of one cocktail you'd get going out with friends on a Saturday night you get the opportunity to try 4 to 5 new and fun products that you might not normally ever think to try.

Birchbox also offers one of the best subscriber loyalty programs out there. Each month you have the opportunity to write a brief review on each of the products in your box. Each review is awarded 10 points, and 100 points can be redeemed for $10 to use in the Birchbox online shop. You also get awarded points for every $1 you spend in the shop and for referring new subscribers. Full-sized versions of any of the products sampled in the month also always ship free.
Normally there is a waitlist for new subscribers that can take over a month to get off of.
