VIB Chic Week Haul 2015

One of the perks of spending an embarrassing amount of money at Sephora each year is that you get elevated to VIB status (Very Important Beauty, that is). Being a VIB comes with a number of special little perks, including early access to new product releases, specials sales and promo codes. One of the most buzz-worth VIB happenings in the year is Chic Week (typically held in the spring) where all VIB and VIB Rouge members can get 15% off their Sephora purchases. Even though it's not a huge discount, everyone tends to go nuts splurging on long wanted items and everyday essentials. I myself tried not to go to overboard, but I did pick up a few things that I really wanted.

After receiving a sample of the Becca Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector ($36) I've gotten seriously hooked. It is by far the weirdest primer that I've ever used, but nothing else has ever come close to its mattifying abilities. I decided that while I could save a few bucks I might as well invest in the full size for when my sample runs out.

I also grabbed a few mini goodies from Bite Beauty. Last spring I purchased two of these Luminous Créme Lipstick Duos ($12) and I absolutely loved them, so when I saw that new duos in different shades had been released, I had to give them a try! I've also seen the adorable 5 Night Fix for Lips ($15) around the blogosphere and I just couldn't resist. Plus, if you're going to rock gorgeous new lipstick shades you've got to keep your lips in tip-top shape!

I've been wanting to try Maison Martin Margiela Replica fragrances for about a year now, but they never were available in my local store to smell. Considering how pricey a full sized bottle is I would never want to risk purchasing one without knowing if I liked the scent first. When I was perusing products to buy I realized they finally have the line in stock and was SO excited! I have to say, this whole line is amazing. The scents are all really unique and beautiful, and I love how they're inspired by different places and experiences. Ultimately I decided to get the Beach Walk Rollerball ($25), which is far less expensive than a full sized bottle, and will be really handy to throw in my purse this summer. It truly captures the essence of a warm summer day on the beach, and I think I'll be getting a ton of use out of it for the next few months.

I rounded out my shopping cart by redeeming a few of my reward points for a travel sized bottle of Lancome Bi-Facil Double Action Eye Makeup Remover. I like to keep a small bottle of eye makeup remover in my travel toiletres bag, and my current one is starting to run low. I've tried this formula before and it works like a dream, so I figured this would be a great time to snag a backup.

While it's tempting to go bananas during one of these sales I think I did a pretty great job of sticking to purchasing items that I'll actually use and love. Be sure to check back over the next couple of weeks because I'll definitely be posting some more in-depth reviews of everything once I've had a chance to try it all out!
