Lemon Love

Confession time.

I have a slight addiction to all things lemon.

From pastries to perfumes to cleaning products, there's something about that bright, citrusy goodness that I just can't get enough of. Just a brief waft of the smell is like instant happiness. As you would expect, a quick look through my beauty stash would definitely show signs of my lemon love affair. And as the weather continues to dip below freezing (despite today being the first day of spring), a little bit of that cheer-inducing yellow fruit is the perfect pick-me-up.

C. O. Bigelow Lemon Body Cream
$19.50, 8 oz

Full of brightening lemon oils and extracts, this luscious body cream is one of my all time favorite body lotions. It totes all the hydrating power of a body cream that you'd expect, while still feeling very lightweight and non-greasy. The fragrance, while unmistakably lemon-y, isn't overpowering. The rest of the C.O. Bigelow Lemon line is equally rave-worthy. The Lemon Cream Body Wash also smells lovely and is extra gentle on skin. I highly recommend taking a trip to Bath & Body Works to try them out yourself!

Suki Exfoliate Foaming Cleanser
$32.95, 4 oz

After months of enduring the dry winter air, there's nothing quite as revitalizing as giving your face a good scrub down. This Suki cleanser starts off as a pretty intense exfoliator, but quickly melts into a luxuriously creamy foam that leaves your skin feeling cleansed and refreshed. The lemongrass fragrance is so uplifting and energizing that I kind of just want to keep washing my face forever (although I guess that's probably not the best idea). I keep this in my shower and use it a couple times a week in the morning.

Cake Beauty Be Delectable Body Polish in Lemon & Cream
$14, 8 oz.

This is one of my favorite scrubs to use to prep my legs for shaving. Unlike sugar scrubs, the exfoliating particles don't dissolve, so the scrubbing power isn't diminished after a few seconds of use. It also doesn't leave any kind of oily residue behind on your skin that would immediately clog up your razor. With ingredients like coconut oil and aloe, this shower-time staple leaves your skin feeling super soft and smooth. It also smells like the bottled version of lemon meringue pie (you know, minus the calories). Really, though. When they use the phrase "Be Delectable" they aren't kidding.

EOS Smooth Sphere Lip Balm in Lemon Drop SPF 15
$3.29, 0.25 oz

I've had my eye on these well-loved spherical lip balms for the longest time. I somehow managed to keep resisting the purchase, thinking of the massive collection of similar products I have lying around at home. But when I saw this lemony version (with SPF to boot) I just couldn't hold back any longer. And now that I'm a proud EOS lip balm owner, I have to say that I'm officially addicted. It feels so hydrating and nourishing on your lips, is chock full of natural ingredients, AND tastes amazing. I think this will definitely be a staple in my purse through the next several months.

On a related sidenote, apparently Julie at Willow Bird Baking totally read my mind, because she just posted this insanely delicious looking recipe for Lemon Cream Bars on Monday. I absolutely adore her blog and her tasty recipes, so I highly recommend checking it out! I think this particular recipe may have to be put to use this weekend.

Are you a fellow lemon lover? If so, tell me about your favorite lemon-y beauty products! And if it isn't quite your thing, is there a particular scent that you can't get enough of?
